Anomaly Progress 1/N

Still in the framing phase - a bit longer than I expected but RL must take priority RN - which means blocking out the walls and major structure pieces.

overview
Ladders for demonstration purposes only.

Normally I start with the doorways as the interface between sections it's most vulnerable to accumulating errors in a build. In this case the interface of the canal section is even more important so I started there.

There will be a door here, so this wall was made a wider section with some 8mm rod. Layering wall sections into each other at angles and with odd overlaps kind of helps the whole thing support itself as there's fewer single joins to split or push over - everything kind of pushes into something else. More support will be made with pipework on the inside and outside of the walls later though.

So the toxic goo river will run through the bottom of this, and I thought some kind of sluice / weir grate would fill the space well. I threw in a broken - bent back - bar as one of those little story details. This stuff was just made from sprue bits - literally sparing the rod :D

And just a quick shot here to illustrate the stilt support that it will sit on - this piece will be above the goo after all.

Up next is decisions about LED's or no, fitting the actual doorways in, and solving the lift problem.
